About EB's cookies

Growing up with a mom who made everything (birthday cakes, Halloween costumes, curtains, pillows, bookcases, decorations, nightly dinners, sweet 80′s jumpers, and more!), I was naturally drawn to homemade creations.

After seeing my mom use royal icing to create unique fall sugar cookie designs, I decided to try this cookie decorating method myself. For my son’s 1st birthday party, I created Handy Manny tools – aka “the cookies that started it all”. After an unexpected rave review from friends and family, I decided to try again, this time creating fun sea creature cookies for a neighborhood BBQ. It’s been a runaway train of cookies ever since! I find myself watching tutorial after tutorial, reading cookie blog upon blog, and browsing Pinterest like it’s going out of style.

As a former science teacher, I’m constantly testing new cookie recipes, icings and designs. With the addition of a nut allergy in my family, I have taken great measures to ensure my cookies have the absolute least amount of contamination risk possible. For information on what I have done in my kitchen check out my blog post on going nut free and my ingredients page. I’d love to know what you think, send your feedback, comments, or suggestions to me on my contact page.
